Umdasch Breaks Through Billion-Euro Barrier 14 August 2007

Thanks to a major contract in Dubai, Umdasch AG is
about to pass the billion-euro mark. Doka, the Umdasch
subsidiary, is responsible for the formwork on the
world’s highest building – the Burj Dubai.

The world’s highest building, the 800-metre high Burj Dubai, has enabled Umdasch AG to exceed the billion-euro turnover mark. The formwork for the building will mostly be carried out by Umdasch subsidiary Doka. With 100 branches in 60 countries, Doka is among the world market leaders in formwork. An export quota of 90% makes Doka one of Austria’s most export-oriented companies. In 2006 Doka was also involved in the formwork concepts for prestigious international projects – the extension of Vienna airport, the swimming pool on Budapest’s Margaret Island, the new motorway from Dresden to Prague and the World Financial Centre in China.
