Kapsch TrafficCom AG eases traffic flow in Bangkok
The international provider of traffic telematics systems, headquartered in Vienna, is providing a cutting-edge toll system for the Bangkok city motorways.
The toll specialist, listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange, Kapsch TrafficCom , is to set up the toll system for three of the largest city motorways in Bangkok (Thailand) by autumn 2009. The contract is worth around EUR 8.5 million. Kapsch TrafficCom is an internationally-active provider of traffic telematics systems, products and services. The company develops and supplies mainly electronic toll systems (Electronic Toll Collection - ETC), in particular for multi-lane free-flow (MLFF) ETC systems and also offers technical and commercial operation of these systems.
In addition, Kapsch TrafficCom provides traffic management systems, including traffic surveillance systems, parking and access systems (on-street and off-street) and traffic control systems.
