Saudi Arabia turns to Austrian fire engines
The company Rosenbauer has received the largest order in its history and is to deliver more than 200 fire engines to Saudi Arabia.
The Upper Austrian special-purpose vehicle manufacturer Rosenbauer will deliver the necessary fire engines to refurbish 26 Saudi Arabian regional airports. The EUR 100 million deal with the Saudi airport operator GACA, the largest contract awarded in the history of this outstanding Austrian firm, includes the delivery of 62 'Panther' airport fire-engines, 28 pump water tenders, 60 AT type fire-engines, 48 small and commando fire-engines, 6 hydraulic-platform units and 16 ambulances. Rosenbauer delivers special-purpose vehicles to over 100 countries worldwide and is expecting a turnover of at least EUR 490 millon for the last financial year.
