Forests of Kukes ready to be privatized

30 thousand hectare of forests and 11 thousand hectares of pastures will be privatized in the district of Kukes. In addition, the Directory of Forests in Kukes is discussing over the implementation of the instructions of the government and the drafting of the necessary documentation for the privatization process. The Director of this directory, Fatmir Gjana has declared to the media that the first phase of the privatization includes the passage of the forests and pastures under the property and administration of the respective communes, which would further proceed in the privatization process in accordance with the respective rules and criteria. 500 thousand hectares of forests will be privatized in the entire country and this process is expected to end within 2008.
