Gmundner Keramik for tables all over the world 15 April 2008
Gmundner Keramik Manufaktur GmbH, a traditional Austrian company, is starting a new export offensive. In 2006 they started distributing to major department stores in Germany and since the summer of 2007 these Upper Austrian products are also available in 21 different U.S. states. Turnover this year is expected to increase by 5% to EUR 10.1 million, supported by the export initiative.
The manufacturer, which has a tradition stretching back to 1903, today employs 200 people and produces 2.6 million plates, mugs, vases etc. per year. The clay mix used in these products is made up of 26 elements using a secret recipe.
