Farmers all over the world swear by the irrigation systems and waste management products from Styrian company Bauer.

Biotechnology and biogas technology at the top international level gave Styrian group Bauer the edge last year – despite the global economic downturn, the group from Voitsberg saw a generous revenue increase of 20% to EUR 145 million. Bauer Group employs 500 staff worldwide in 20 subsidiaries and exports account for 93% of revenue.

The company was founded in 1930 primarily as a “pipe and pump factory”, but has developed into a specialist for irrigation management, waste management and energy management which is now well established worldwide. More than 800,000 hectares of arable land across the globe use Bauer innovation for irrigation, and Bauer is the world leader in irrigation plant technology.

In the field of waste management, the Bauer Group deals with slurry technology, separators, pumps, wastewater and slurry sprinklers, as well as the “Bedding Recovery Unit” (BRU). BRU is used in agricultural operations with over 800 head of cattle, separating solids from the slurry and prepares them for reuse as bedding.

In the energy management sector, the Bauer group’s focus is on biogas technology and related components.

Bauer has a subsidary in Australia, based in Laverton North, Victoria. For further information, please contact Rick Beales at r.beales@bauer-at.com.
