National Manufacturing Week in Melbourne, May 2009

1 June 2009

Catalogue display of Austrian companies at the leading exhibition for Australia's manufacturing industry.

Following the success of the Ozwater Exhibition in March this year, the Austrian Consulate General - Commercial Section hosted its second catalogue display of the year at National Manufacturing Week 2009 in Melbourne from 12 to 15 May. Nine diverse Austrian manufacturing firms were presented, seeking distribution or sales partners for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

National Manufacturing Week is the largest and leading event of the Australian manufacturing industry. With 11 industry-specific pavilions under the one roof, this exhibition presents an excellent opportunity for companies to present and become acquainted with the latest products and services in the manufacturing sector.

Our stand was attended by our Vice Consul, Hannes Scheiner and Research and Marketing Analyst, Elain Neumaier, accompanied by Australian representatives from CNC Technologies and the highly successful Austrian welding company, Fronius. Equipment from Fronius was also on display.

The exhibition provided a great opportunity for the office representatives to learn more about the current problems and opportunities in the Australian manufacturing industry and foster further business links between Australian and Austrian companies in this sector.

The next event that the Austrian Consulate General - Commercial Section will be present at is the upcoming Fine Food and Hotel Exhibition in Sydney on 7 – 10 September, where a display of Austria's finest gastronomical and hospitality products will be on display.
