Austrian Business Reception in Sydney 15 September 2009

27 October 2009

Over 90 members of the Australian-Austrian Business community enjoyed a wonderful evening of fine food, wine and socialising at our second Sydney Business Reception for the year on 15 September 2009.

Taking place at DeVine Restaurant in the heart of Sydney, the event was hosted by DeVine’s owner and wine sommelier, Andreas Puhar, and featured gourmet Austrian-inspired cuisine, as well as a wide selection of fine Austrian wines.

His Excellency, the Austrian Ambassador to Australia, Dr Hannes Porias, and the Austrian Trade Commissioner, Mr Guido Stock, were in attendance, rounding off the evening with short speeches. The business card draw saw the lucky door prize of a bottle of Moët & Chandon (donated by Accru Felsers) won by Julia Diem of Arup, while Sophie Harris of Space Architects took home a set of Trio wine glasses (donated by Riedel).

Those who did not win a prize were not left empty-handed, with a gift bag of Austrian goodies (donated by Premier Food and Beverages) available for all guests.

The Austrian Consulate General/Commercial section holds regular networking functions for companies maintaining or seeking Austrian business relations. For information about future events, please  .
