The products from this Austrian chocolate manufacturer are synonymous with variety, quality, creativity and sustainability. The company is now expanding with franchising.

Austrian chocolatier Zotter does not only enjoy global success with its export business. In future the company also wants to see growth beyond Austria's borders through a franchising system. The first shops in the German-speaking world should open by the end of 2011, starting off in Germany with Munich, Berlin and Hamburg.

Since 1992 Josef Zotter has been rediscovering the world of chocolate. Here the creative chocolatier has succeeded in sustainably changing the chocolate scene. The chocolate manufacturer currently offers over 200 varieties of chocolate and Zotter develops surprising new creations every single year. The proof is in the pudding: the company currently holds 5% market share in Austria and generates revenue of around EUR 6 million.

The company philosophy is based on sustainable trading in addition to high quality. Zotter has been a Fairtrade partner since 2004. The conversion to BIO (organic) followed in 2005, while the company opened its own chocolate factory in 2006. This makes Zotter the only company in Europe whose chocolate is bean-to-bar and only available in organic and Fairtrade quality. All of the raw ingredients bought by the firm are certified as organic and Fairtrade. The exquisite cocoa used by Zotter comes from South and Central America, India and Congo. Zotter pays producers much more than the going rate on the world market and actively works together with the cocoa growers.
