Centers of Excellence
Some 60 industrial 'Centers of Excellence' - international leaders in their fields - combine the necessities of the economy with the know-how of science.
Among those are the 17 so-called "K plus centers" with at least five companies and a research facility. Some examples:
Success by cooperation is also the motto of the altogether 28 industrial competence centres (K ind) and the virtual competence centres (K net), like for example:
- Vehicle acoustics Graz
- Austrian Center of Competence in Mechatronics (ACCM)
- and a few centres in the fields of ICT and Life sciences, respectively.
