The King of Bakery Machines
The Styrian company König has been providing top quality, sophisticated bakery machines, ovens and bread roll plants to bakeries worldwide for four decades.
Engineering is subject to change, values remain unchanged. The following philosophy has applied to the company König Maschinen GmbH since its foundation in 1966: The products must serve the bakers, and the production processes must not only conform to state-of-the-art technology and hygiene, but also the traditional aspects of the respective culture and, above all, to the individual wishes of the worldwide clientele. For this reason, König continues to refine all of its bakery machines, ovens and bread roll plants until all of the project-specific requirements are fulfilled – and has been doing so for over 40 years.
The company was founded by Helmut König, the son of a baker's family steeped in tradition from Hartberg (Styria). During his studies he founded the company “Maschinenfabrik Helmut König” as a one-man enterprise. The innovative developments have secured the company - which today employs 440 staff – a leading position on the world market. The product range includes spiral mixers and twin twist mixers, automatic dough dividing and rounding machines producing from a few hundred to more than 30,000 loaves per hour, compact bread roll plants for one-man operations, multi-purpose bread roll plants for a wide array of different bread rolls; dough sheeting machines to meet handmade and industrial specifications, rack ovens and automatic baking ovens, as well as vacuum cooling devices.
With a worldwide trade network and subsidiaries in Germany, the Netherlands and the USA, König has an export quota of 80%. The company exports to the whole of Europe, the USA and Asia, as well as to the Middle East. In the last fiscal year, revenues totalled EUR 50 million.
