48 % of the Austrian territory is covered by woodland areas. As a result a lot of Austrian companies have century long experience in the field of forest management and wood processing.
We are organizing an Austria Showcase about the topic "Forestry Technology and Wood Processing" in cooperation with the associations "proHolz Styria" и "Wood Cluster Styria" on October 13, 2010 in Sofia: In the course of this event, Austrian companies will present know-how and products which can be an ideal tool to increase productivity in Bulgarian businesses in these sectors.
Austrian firms with technologies and products for forestry industry as well as manufacturers of wood products and wood processing machines will be available for interested Bulgarian business partners. If you are active as
- state forest administration
- private forest administration and woodland owner
- trading company with machinery for forest management
- wood processing business
- trader with wood products or wood processing machines

The opening will take place on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 9.00 am at the Hotel Holiday Inn Sofia (Business Park Sofia, Boulevard Alexander Malinov 111) in the Conference Room Vitosha 2. The event will be opened by Bulgarian and Austrian official representatives. Afterwards the participating Austrian companies will give short presentations about their offers and will be available for meetings with interested Bulgarian companies and representatives of public entities.
