Austrian Food & Drink Showcase
April 8, 2017 - April 13, 2017
From April 8 to 13, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA organized a string of events on the occasion of the visit of Austrian Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, Mr Andrä Rupprechter to Canada.
36 Austrian companies joined the minister and presented their products. Fine Austrian cheeses, charcuterie, jams and preserves, and of course Austrian wine and beer was on display at the Austrian Food and Drink Showcase in Toronto and Montreal.
With CETA, Austrian products will be more competitive on the Canadian market. Canadian consumers will appreciate the high quality of Austrian products. Austria has developed into a gourmet country over the past years. With quality and taste, Austria's food and drinks industry has managed to position itself not only on the domestic market, but also on more than 180 export markets. The increase in the export quota of 16.6% in 1995 to 60% in 2015 underlines the success.
