Salzkammergut is certainly one of Austria's most beautiful areas. Magical lakes and a fascinating mountain landscape attract countless tourists. The private brewery Schloss Eggenberg is steeped in tradition and provides the necessary refreshment.

The Upper Austrian private brewery Schloss Eggenberg (in German) has been brewing beer in Salzkammergut since the 14th century. And today Eggenberg - headquartered in Vorchdorf / Upper Austria - is one of Europe's leading specialist brewers with a high export quota. Countless gold medals and awards at trade fairs across the world are a testament to the top quality of Eggenberg's specialist beers. The total production of the brewery amounts to around 165,000 Hl a year. Beer exports last year rose by 20%. The products are exported to 40 countries worldwide. The most important export markets are Italy and the USA. A new exhibition and tasting centre opened in April, enriching Salzkammergut with another tourist attraction.
