World's best chardonnay you find in South Styria 9. April 2008
The 15th international Chardonnay-du-Monde competition took place 12th-15th of March 2008 at Chateau des Ravatys, 69220 Saint-Lager, France. 953 wine samples from 39 countries were submitted and tasted by 300 judges. The aim of the competition is to pick out the best wines on the basis of their intrinsic quality. The number one winner of the competion 2008 is Austrian Weingut Sattlerhof with its Trockenbeerenauslese 2006, followed by Canada, Australia and France.
