Viennese company Loytec is providing the network technology to ensure the optimal environment in the cabins of the “Oasis of the Seas”, the world’s largest cruise ship.

The “Oasis of the Seas” is a liner which is as large a floating city: there is space for 6,300 passengers and 2165 crew spread across 16 decks, with 40 restaurants and countless special facilities including an open-air theatre. The most expensive ship of all time saw an investment of EUR 940 million; the naming ceremony was held on 30th November 2009 in Fort Lauderdale.
And naturally a luxury ship cannot be without superlative high-tech solutions from Austria: Loytec and its high-performance network products ensure the optimal climate in 3000 cabins with its automation controller. The router from Loytec guarantees uninterrupted service even if a network cable fails. Problems can be localised quickly, meaning that the comfort of passengers is guaranteed.

Founded in 1997, Loytec is one of Europe’s leading providers in intelligent network-infrastructure products in the building automation sector. The company is headquartered in Vienna and has offices in Paris, Gelsenkirchen and Texas, supplying to over 80 countries worldwide. Exports account for 99.5% of revenue.
