12. April 2011

From 18 August to 3 September 2011 around 4,000 participants from over 60 countries will come to the village of Alpbach in the Tyrolean mountains in order to discuss the latest contemporary issues – among the participants there will also be students and recent graduates. This year the Forum will again be issuing scholarships to enable youngsters to participate in this fascinating and long-established event.

Efforts to see justice not only as a necessity but rather as an ethical imperative are at the heart of the European Forum Alpbach 2011 "Justice - Responsibility for the Future". The combination of scientific seminars with discussions and short events on selected key topics is what makes the European Forum Alpbach so unique and exciting.

The aim of the Forum is to give as many young people as possible the opportunity to take part in the entire event. The European Forum Alpbach Non-Profit Foundation under Private Law makes scholarships available to students and recent graduates of any discipline who would not otherwise be able to participate in this event from their own funds and who have not yet had their 31st birthday.
