Energy Globe Award 2017

This year the Danish project Cycle Super Highways and a novative Norwegian vacuum waste collection system receive the National Energy Globe Award for respectively Denmark and Norway.

22 municipalities and the Capital Region of Denmark have joined forces to create a network of Cycle Super Highways . The overall aim of the Cycle Super Highways in Greater Copenhagen is to get more people to commute by bike over longer distances. Currently, there are three Cycle Superhighways. A total of 28 routes with 467 km of cycle paths are planned, of which ten are to be built by 2018.

The National Energy Globe Award Norway goes to Norway's second largest waste management company BIR for Bossnett , a new vacuum waste collection system in the city of Bergen.

The Energy Globe Award Ceremony takes place on 23rd August as part of our Back-2-Business Reception.
