Carinthia on fact-finding mission in Copenhagen

Kärnten Group on fact-finding mission
20. June 2011

Market opportunities, cycling capitol Copenhagen, traffic routes and flows in Denmark

A delegation from Carinthia, led by Vice President Sylvia Wostal and Director Michael Stattmann of the Carinthian Economic Chamber came to Copenhagen for a fact-finding mission from 16th-18th June. The group’s journey covered issues of market opportunities for Carinthian companies, information about the local government reform in Denmark and topics concerning the “cycling capitol” Copenhagen.

On June 16, the whole delegation participated at the Austrian Business Circle, held by the AC Copenhagen, about “traffic routes and flows in Denmark”. Guest speaker Alexander Kanovsky, managing director of KMG (Strabag subsidiary) with roots from Kärnten, gave a lecture on the current development concerning the highway construction project of Strabag in Jutland (so far the largest Austrian construction project in Denmark) and his experiences in doing business in Denmark. Afterwards Austrian wine was served and the numerous guests had the opportunity to exchange ideas over a delicious buffet.
