The Soft Loan Framework Agreement between Austria and Egypt was ratified by the Egyptian People's Assembly on May 4, 2008. In October 2007, the agreement had been signed between the Austrian and the Egyptian government in order to offer soft loans for the duration of 2 years for a total amount of 50 million Euro for the various sectors. provide all necessary detailed information. The ratification process of this protocol by the Egyptian parliament is, therefore, expected to be finalized shortly; thereafter this agreement will come into effect.
In order to discuss the implementation of the soft loan projects according to the Agreement and the preliminary project list with the Austrian and Egyptian authorities concerned, a workshop will be held on May 28 and 29. The first day, Wednesday, May 28, will be for Egyptian authorities only and the second day, Thursday, May 29, will also be open for interested Egyptian private companies. This workshop will be held in the Nile Hilton Hotel, Arousa Room.
