LED-signal technology for Algerian railway 11. March 2008

The Lower Austrian company Zelisko now has two reasons to celebrate. On the one hand, this is its 90th aniversary, on the other it has just received a huge contract for the region. The company will for the first time improve the Algerian rail network with modern LED-signals.

 

Zelisko will deliver modern LED-signaling technology, for three tracks of rail company SNTF in Algeria. These tracks are currently being modernised and for the first time fitted with LED-signals to improve safety. The contract is worth EUR 700,000 and is the largest export contract for LED-signals that Zelisko has received until now. The company, which this year is celebrating its 90th anniversary, employs around 200 people. Annual turnover is over EUR 40 million.
