The Commercial Office of the Austrian Embassy in Cairo plans to participate in the 12th Addis Chamber International Trade Fair with an information stand. The fair will be held from February 21 to 27, 2008 at Addis Ababa and covers all business sectors.
From February 20 to 22, 2008, the Austrian Federal President, Dr. Heinz Fischer, will visit Addis Ababa accompanied by a large official delegation as well as a business delegation led by Dr. Richard Schenz, the Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. On February 21, a business forum and a matchmaking event between the Austrian and Ethiopian companies will be organized together with the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce.
An Austrian Economic Mission to Addis Ababa is planned from September 24 to 26, 2007. It is the first leg of a market exploration trip to three East African countries - Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Kenia - which will take place from September 22 to October 4, 2007.
Ethiopian companies will have the opportunity to meet with Austrian business counterparts participating in the mission.
On September 6, 2007, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber together with the Ethiopian Embassy in Vienna will organize a country seminar on Ethiopia.
