ACTIVITIES in 2011
Annual Meeting 2011 & Demmers Teehaus Presentation
The Annual Meeting 2011 was hold in Krulla Wiener Cafe in Helsinki 27.4.2011.
Near to the best teahouse in Helsinki - according to Helsingin Sanomat 10.3.2011 article –, Krulla Wiener Café (www.krullas.com), is the first shop DEMMERS TEEHAUS® in the Nordic countries. It was opened in 2010. We had the opportunity to hear a presentation about tea, held by Ms. Kirsi Pullinen from Demmers Teehaus. We thank Ms. Pullinen for the very interesting presentation!

Company visit to Lufthansa German Airlines
Austrian Airlines was integrated into Lufthansa German Airlines last year. We had the opportunity to visit the company on November 23rd, 2010. We thank Mr. Marek Kuchta, Country Manager Finland, Lufthansa German Airlines, very much for his very interesting presentation of the integration.

Austrian Trade 50 years in Helsinki
Austrian Trade in Helsinki celebrated the 50th anniversary with an open house on the 10th of October 2008.
We would like to thank all our Finnish business partners for their trust and great contribution to the excellent business relations between Finland and Austria .
EURO 2008
As the European Football Championship 2008 in Austria was quite near, the ambassador of Austria in Finland invited the club members on the 26th of May 2008 to a reception "EURO 2008 - Expect Emotions".
We thank the Ambassador Dr. Lorenz Graf and the participants for the warm-hearted get-together.
Annual Meeting 2008
Finland-Austria Business Clubs Annual Meeting 2008 took place on the 29.4.08 at the premises of Ernst & Young in Helsinki. At the same time we had the opportunity to hear the presentation "Raiffeisen-Leasing - impressions of the first operating year in Finland".

Alpine Curling 13.2.08
The second alpine curling happening of Finland-Austria Business club took place on Wednesday, the 13 th of February 2008 at the ice-skating area of the Railway Station Square, in the centre of Helsinki.

Company visit to Borealis Polymers Oy on the 1st of November 2007
We visited Borealis Polymers Oy on the 1.11.07.
Boralis Polymers Oy moved its headquarters to Vienna in 2006. Mr. Johan Brenner, Managing Director of Borealis Polymers Oy, told in his presentation about the operations of Borealis in Finland and internationally.
We would like to thank Mr. Brenner and Borealis Polymers for the very interesting company presentation.

Finland-Austria Business Club's autumn program started with an evening gathering due to the Finnish
championship in fireworks on 31st August 2007.
Visit to Doppelmayr Finn Oy
"On the 24th of May 2007 we had an excellent opportunity to get insight information about less common business field - ropeway, cablecar business. The managing director of Doppelmayr Finn Oy, Mr Reijo Riila and Aleksi Hiltunen informed us about new and interesting developments especially in Finland. Possibly there will be an exceptional solution for the connection from Katajanokka to Laajasalo - Cable Car. The topic itself and the presentation [ppt, 2,351.0kb] arouse active discussion among the participants."

"Finland-Austria Business Clubs Annual Meeting took place on the 17th of April 2007 on the premises of Castren & Snellman Attorneys Ltd. in Erottajankatu 7 A, in Helsinki.

Curling
On the 8th of March 2007 a new club activity took place at the Helsinki city center. Alppicurling gathered enthusiastic club members to try this "new" teamsport. Under the guidance of our own board member, who also provided us with the equipment, we were able to create a nice and rememberable evening. Also the weather conditions during that evening were favourable to us. After a short training round we managed to have in good spirits a competition between two teams. All team members were rewarded for their efforts and we can say that this was an unforgettable evening and different kind of club activity. We would like to take this opportunity and thank all the participants and organisers for their contribution!
