The purpose of the study tour is to provide participating delegates with a unique opportunity to visit reference sites and Austrian technology/equipment suppliers and to establish strong commercial links with them. Austria is widely considered to be one of the leading countries in renewable energy production and technologies. At present 22% of overall primary energy consumption is provided from renewable energy sources. Austrian technology and equipment suppliers offer exceptional quality and Austrian products are a popular choice all around Europe .

About the event
The UK delegation will comprise of 7-10 individuals who will join with delegates from other western European countries to form a delegation of approximately 25 people. The mission’s primary focus will be on introducing UK delegates to Austrian companies operating in the following areas:
-On-site renewables/building integrated renewable energy technologies
-District heating and CHP(medium- to industrial-scale)
-Sustainable construction
UK delegates will be senior representatives and decision makers from UK companies and organisations. They will wish to meet with technology and equipment suppliers for the purposes of securing services, plant and equipment for specific projects and/or for establishing commercial relationships. Delegates might wish to join the tour if they are:
-Looking for a design solution for a specific project e.g. district heating scheme etc
-Looking for suppliers of plant equipment and supporting infrastructure e.g. district heating plant, heat networks and CHP plant etc
-Looking for sustainable construction solutions e.g. timber frame structures etc
-Looking for renewable energy equipment to bring to the UK market
Cost & flights:
The study tour is subsidised in part by Austrian Trade and the Austrian “Go-International Programme”. Hotel accommodation for 3 nights (27-30 May) is being organized and paid for; costs for transport in Austria as well as partly for meals are covered.
Delegates have to book and pay for their flights to Austria ; they also have to pay for transfer from and to the airport in Austria and in part for meals. If delegates wish to depart after 30 May they will also have to pay for their hotel accommodation, but booking of accommodation can be arranged at a preferential rate. Delegates will arrive in Vienna on the 27 May and will return to the UK on the evening of Friday 30 May or later.
