Over 100 companies - from small start-ups to large companies - exhibit at the European Biofuels Expo & Conference, now in its 3rd year. In 2007 the exhibition attracted more than 4,000 visitors.
The Conference covers the key issues impacting the biofuels market and three conference streams deal with latest developments in renewable energy generation from biogas and solid fuel as well as with biofuels for transport The National Energy Foundation's annual Wood Energy Conference has also been integrated into the European Biofuels Expo & Conference.
Currently 22% of Austria's primary energy consumption come from renewable energy sources and Austria has been leading in the utilisation of biomass for energy production. No wonder, that you will find speakers from Austria at the conference - Rainer Romirer from Windhager, the largest manufacturer of biomass boilers in Austria, and Josef Höckner from BioG Biogastechnology.
