Amongst the wines produced in Austria, white wines make up the larger portion. Austria specialises in the the Grüner Veltliner grape variety which produces full-flavoured, spicy white wines.

Austrian wines are on the wine lists of many of the UK's finest restaurants but are also on sale in Waitrose, Tesco, Fortnum & Mason and Oddbins.
