The independent Austrian software provider COPA-DATA has opened a new UK office to provide technical support and sales for their hugely successful automation software 'zenOn' in the British market.

Copa-Data continues to expand its business internationally and sales of its SCADA application, zenOn, have soared by 30% in recent years. The Salzburg based company, which has recently opened subsidiaries in India and the US, employs over 100 people worldwide. Copa-Data UK , which is located in Cheshire, will be managed by industrial automation and SCADA expert, Duncan Fletcher.

SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is a type of software package which is used in industrial and civil engineering applications to monitor and control a plant or equipment remotely.

ZenOn is unique because it also provides a graphic visualisation of data and storage status. Over 50,000 zenOn systems have been installed to date. Clients include BMW and AUDI as well as the British footwear giant, Clarks.

Copa-Data recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with the launch of zenOn 6.21, the only SCADA software to be certified for Windows Vista.
