Bodo's Schloss - Austrian Alpine tradition in the heart of Kensington

18. October 2012

A new Austrian themed restaurant and club in London is bringing authentic alpine cuisine and entertainment from the hills of Austria to the base of Kensington Palace.

Inspired by an Austrian ski lodge, Bodo's Schloss is a new alpine-themed restaurant, bar and club opening on the 26th October 2012 on Kensington High Street. An Austrian ski haven in design, the owners have gone all out to make this London bar one of the best themed places in the capital. With Austrain beer and food being imported to satisy the revellers of Kensington, Bodo's Schloss could be London's coolest new haunt.

Just off High St Kensington the venue has used authentic materials from the Tyrol region to recreate a converted Austrian farmhouse, completely separate from today’s modern world.

Providence and authenticity can be seen throughout the venue, recreating a farmhouse for restaurant/bar, using 300-year-old terracotta tile and 200-year-old alpine wood sourced from Austria.

For the more adventurous there is the barn dancefloor where the DJ booth is set in a 70s ski car, champagne is served in a milk urn and ice carved castles act as drinking vessels.

With staff dressed in traditional lederhosen and drindl, Bodo’s Schloss, restaurant, bar and old fashioned disco, offers award winning quality drinks, food and service where the guest is the center of the experience.

Bodo’s offers good value, simple authentic Austrian food, not too fancy or fussy. Schloss have acquired acclaimed Austrian duo – Speck Mobile - to bring to life old Austrian recipes with traditional Austrian based products.
