Vacancy announcement for Project Manager at the Austrian Cultural Forum in London

Job Title: Project Manager
Available from: 1st May 2013
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £24000 – £26000 p.a., depending on qualifications

The Austrian Cultural Forum (ACF) London forms part of a network of 30 Austrian Cultural Fora, run by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs that foster contacts, co-operation and projects between Austria and their respective host countries in the creative and academic fields.
The ACF London, based in Knightsbridge, is looking for a Project Manager. The contract offered will be for three years and open to renewal.


Main tasks
* Planning and organising projects and events (with a particular focus on music and
visual arts)
* Managing projects logistics
* Monitoring project budgets
* Evaluating project proposals
* Cooperation with British and Austrian (cultural) institutions
* Forging new and strengthening existing partnerships between British and Austrian institutions in the creative and academic fields


Requirements
* Relevant qualification and/or experience in project management
* Excellent knowledge of both German and English both, orally and in writing
* Very good knowledge of Austrian and British culture
* Excellent organisational skills
* Very good computer skills and good knowledge of social media
* Enthusiasm and commitment to perform
* Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and at evening events.
* Very good communication and teamwork skills
