World Beer Cup 2008 The best Pils is from Austria 19. June 2008

The Trumer Private Brewery tastes success for the second time since 2006 as their Trumer Pils wins at the World Beer Cup.

They are one of the very few, but equally exclusive small private breweries in Austria - Trumer Privatbrauerei from Obertrum near Salzburg. The exclusivity of their products ensured a win for the Trumer Privatbrauerei - their second since 2006 - at the  World Beer Cup 2008, one of the most important international beer competitions. The jury, made up of master brewers, beer experts and certified beer sommeliers, named Trumer Pils the best Pils in the world.

Recently, the brewery has made a name for itself far beyond Austrian borders and currently exports not only across Europe, but also overseas to the USA and Australia, with China starting soon. In the USA a partner brewery in San Francisco uses exactly the same ingredients, following the approved Trumer brewing method, to produce Trumer beer for the Californian market. The history of the Trumer Private Brewery dates back as far as 1601; the Sigl family have owned the business since 1775.
