Negotiations were on-going for more than 10 years – now an agreement has been reached: The revised Austrian-Greek Double Taxation Agreement was signed on 18 July 2007 by Austrian and Greek representatives in Athens – what is left to do now is for the two national parliaments to ratify the body of law in order for it to become effective.
It is still uncertain, however, when this will happen: The Agreement is to become effective as of the first day of the second month after having exchanged the ratification documents. Of course, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Athens will keep you informed about further developments.
