The Austrian ELK-Fertighaus AG has successfully maintained its position on the highly competitive market for family homes since more than 30 years with prefabricated houses and block houses. After leading the market in Austria for many years, the ELK group has expanded into the international market and has now been the European market leader for several years.

The well-known architect Dimitri Nikolaidis, owner of the company EDIFICE DEVELOPMENT, is the licensing partner of ELK in Greece and supervises all local building projects. In the urban surroundings of Athens the first prefabricated homes and block houses have already been built – a particularly impressive project will be carried out in April: a block house of more than 400m² which has been designed according to the wishes of the Greek owner. Even though ELK is renowned for the great variety of prefabricated homes and block houses, the company will of course also build individual designs.

ELK does not only build for families, but also on a large scale. ELK can build semi-detached and terraced houses on one hand, but also multi-storey  residential buildings. In addition, the high-quality method of construction is frequently used for industrial facilities, offices, hotels, hospitals or schools. ELK has even planned, produced and built a complete university with administration buildings, lecture halls and student apartments. For the realisation of this project, ELK succeeded against strong international competition due to high technical competence, flexibility and reasonable pricing. The university can accommodate 3,000 students, the total useable area of all buildings is app. 22,000 m². The whole university was completed and turnkey ready after only six months.
