Skidata equips winter sports resort Parnassos in Greece with ski ticketing system

Headquartered in Groedig near Salzburg ( Austria ), SKIDATA AG was founded in 1977 and has since evolved into a world leader in visitor management systems, access control technologies and ticketing solutions.

In October 2007 SKIDATA SA was awarded the contract for delivery, installation and start-up of a ticketing and access management solution for selling and checking ski-tickets at the lifts at Mount Parnassos . Situated around 190 km northwest of Athens near the famous towns of Arachova and Delphi, the Parnassos region is one of the oldest and most beautiful ski resorts in Greece .

The winter sports facilities at Mount Parnassos were equipped with

5 POS stations
19 reading devices serving the 12 lifts of the resort
1 Data Central unit for configuration and reporting

The system is fully networked via network set up by Greek partner PINTEC SA. An internet connection was installed to enable remote maintenance from Austria , which guarantees smooth operation for ultimate guest convenience. As a result, the solution at Mount Parnassos features the most advanced access management technology available today.

The System was installed by November 2007 and is already in use.
