13th Conference of European Regions and Cities (KERS): 24–26 September 2017 in Salzburg, Austria

The Institute of the Regions of Europe (IRE) invites you to the 13th Conference of European Regions and Cities in Salzburg. The event will be focusing on the topic of ‘Next Generation – Attractive Regions and Cities for Future Generations’.

The Institute of the Regions of Europe (IRE) has been fighting the corner of Europe’s regions and communities for 12 years now. Its 13th Conference of European Regions and Cities will be held at Salzburg’s Kongresshaus from 24 to 26 September 2017.

Alongside panel discussions on the topics ‘How to Keep Rural Areas Attractive for Future Generations’, ‘The Next Generation of Renewable Energy’ and ‘Start-ups in the Regions - the Future for the Young Generation’, there will also be an IRE forum on the subject of ‘The Next Generation of EU Member States’. An IRE symposium on ‘Private Education Institutions – a Chance for Youth’ will round things off.

There will also be presentations by numerous international experts and decision-makers from the worlds of politics and economics, plus a talk by Johannes Hahn, EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations.

Representatives of cities and regions, IRE members and students may take part in the event free of charge. The registration fee for companies is EUR 350. The IRE expects about 250 delegates to attend.
