RENEXPO® INTERHYDRO 2017: Hub of the European hydroelectric power sector

31. August 2017

More than 50% of the electricity obtained from renewable energy sources in the European Union comes from hydroelectric power plants. Hydropower makes a significant contribution to the economy by ensuring security of supply for electricity and protecting the environment.

The European hydroelectric power industry will convene in Salzburg for the ninth RENEXPO INTERHYDRO fair on 29-30 November 2017. This year’s event will once again offer a unique platform for presentations and knowledge transfer, along with the opportunity to exchange experiences and make new contacts. The fair is aimed at anyone involved in hydroelectric power, including representatives from commerce and industry, local or state authorities and the worlds of politics and science, as well as universities and polytechnics throughout Europe.

The two-day trade fair and conference will feature discussion round tables, symposia, seminars and excursions, with a wealth of specialist information available: from small-scale hydropower to pumped-storage power plants and their role in supplying future-proof energy, from technology through ecology to commercial viability and financing.

With the Eastern Europe Hydropower Forum, the Czech Republic as a partner country and Africa as the partner continent, RENEXPO® INTERHYDRO is even more international this year. Some 125 exhibitors, 500 conference delegates and 2,500 visitors are expected to attend.

Further information about RENEXPO® INTERHYDRO 2017, which will be held at Messezentrum Salzburg conference centre on 29-30 November 2017, is available at the event website .
