VAI will install Metal Coating Line and Coil Painting Line at PT. Blue Scope Steel Indonesia 12. April 2006
The Austrian company Voest Alpine Industrieanlagenbau (VAI), formerly a part of VA Technology AG and now Siemens VAI, was awarded a contract by PT. Blue Scope Steel Indonesia, a subsidiary of Blue Scope Steel Ltd., Australia, to supply and install a new Metal Coating Line (capacity of 170.000 tpa) and Coil Painting Line (capacity of 50.000 tpa) with a contract value of about Euro 30 Mio.
The scope of the order includes the supply of furnaces, shear and welder for coil jointing with automatic control and installation.
Start-up of the mills is scheduled for early 2007 for the Coil Painting Line and mid 2007 for the Metal Coating Line.
