14. February 2010 As more and more Austrian wines are finding their way onto restaurant menus in Ireland, time was ripe to remind the Irish wine trade of Austria’s fine wine-making tradition – and to present to them the excellent wines from a new generation of wine growers.

October 2009 The Austrian Trade Commission Dublin joined forces with the Limerick Chamber of Commerce and Direct Route (Limerick) Construction Ltd., the consortium responsible for the works on the submerged Limerick Tunnel, to organize the first ever Irish-Austrian Business Networking Event in Limerick on Thursday 15 October, 2009.
3. August 2009 Austrian formwork specialist Doka is providing their new self-climbing formwork system to the contracting consortium in charge of the construction of the biggest cable-stayed bridge in Ireland.

5. May 2009 Emergency registration desks had to be installed to cater for the sheer numbers of visitors that came along to this year’s Energy Show, held on 29 -30 April at Dublin’s RDS. With 16 companies under their roof, the Austrian Pavilion hosted the largest number of exhibitors yet and was the largest single-country representation at the show.
25. April 2009 Austria was voted the hottest cool spot for skiing at the inaugural Irish Consumer Travel Awards on 21 April at the RDS Concert Hall where it won the ‘Best Ski Destination’ category.
