WIEHAG PUTS ITS MARK ON POINT VILLAGE 28. August 2008

Austrian timber engineering specialist WIEHAG have been awarded a substantial contract for the new landmark Point Village project in Dublin. The company already has a strong presence on the Irish market, having been involved in a number of prestigious building projects such as Limerick County Hall, SAP Galway, Elm Park, Dublin and recently the Sports and Leisure Centre in Roscrea.

At the Point Village, WIEHAG will be providing the atrium façade and rooflight structures of Global hotel chain’s flagship premises in Ireland. The company’s Head of International Timber Projects, Johannes Rebhahn, promises the €650.000 project to be ‘a real eyecatcher’ - not a mean feat given the building’s prominent neighbours, the 120m high Watchtower and the U2 Experience museum.
