2015 Export award winners: Doka GmbH

30 July 2015

Since 1994 the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy have been presenting Export Awards to Austrian companies for their exceptional success on international markets. This year the prize in the "Industry" category went to Doka GmbH.

Doka , the specialist for formwork solutions, has been part of almost every spectacular construction in the world. This includes the 950-metre-long Bouregreg Bridge in Morocco, the 555-metre-high Lotte World Tower in Seoul (South Korea) and what is currently the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Doka is also set to provide the formwork for what will be the world's first building to pass through the magical height barrier of 1,000 metres: the Kingdom Tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

It's not by chance that the Austrians are always called in for technically demanding projects - the business model is based on the expertise of more than 1,000 engineers, who embrace the most challenging construction tasks. The company is also consistently committed to research and development.

Doka is part of the Umdasch Group, headquartered in Amstetten, Lower Austria. The company has over 160 distribution and logistics centres in more than 70 countries and generated revenue of around EUR 1.1 bn in 2014 with approximately 7,300 employees.
