15 – 17 September 2010

International Biomass Seminar Linz/Austria 2010
15 July 2010

The Upper Austrian Energy Academy is staging a three-day international seminar on biomass heating. The focus will be on wood pellets and wood chip powered small- to mid-scale projects for homes, commercial and public buildings and district heating grids.

The International Biomass Training Seminar in Linz is the largest annual event of its kind and is aimed at all businesses and public bodies with an interest in developing a local/regional biomass heating market. It will offer an attractive mix of presentations, site-visits and interactive learning in an international environment, as well as giving practical hands-on information from best-practice experts in the industry. In addition to the technical know-how on biomass technology, the event will also cover the financial and marketing side of the sector.

Training will be provided by members of the Upper Austrian Energy Academy, representatives from the international research body Bioenergy 2020+ and experts from leading biomass technology companies. The entire conference will be held in English.

For a draft programme and registration details, please visit the Energy Academy's website or write to office@esv.or.at.

Closing date for registration: 20 August 2010.

The Energy Academy is part of the Upper Austrian Energy Agency. Upper Austria boasts some of the most prestigeous energy-efficient biomass projects in Austria. About 30% of the province's heat demand is met by green, automatic biomass heating, thereby significantly increasing the local jobs pool.
