'Superior' Energy Show proves that the future is in green tech  Austrian Pavilion once more the centrepiece

20 April 2010

Fifteen exhibitors were present at the Austrian stand at the Energy Show, once again the largest representation of renewable technology of any one country. Visiting the Austrian Pavilion, Minister Eamon Ryan TD said the Irish renewable sector could benefit greatly from the Austrians.

Hosted every year by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, this year’s show was probably the best since it started in 1995. Visitors were pleased to see more actual technology exhibited. “I felt it was far superior to last year” noted a heating engineer from the west of Ireland. Feedback from the Austrian exhibitors was also positive, many of them having walked away with a number of excellent leads.

The exhibiting companies were from the strongest sectors in renewable and energy efficient technology in Austria - domestic biomass and solar heating, biomass storage, district, wall and floor heating (Solarfocus, ETA, SunWin, Einsiedler, Gilles, Geoplast, Windhager and Variotherm); solar mounting systems (Mage); heat pumps (Ochsner); triple glaze window systems (Hracho Wina); insulation products (Isocell); micro-hydropower (Alpecon) and industrial and municipal biogas and biomass plants (Thöni, Polytechnic).

The Austrian Pavilion has always been a prominent feature at the Energy Show. This year, it presented itself in a fresh light with a brand new display stand sporting the new corporate logo ‘Advantage Austria’. Every year, the Austrians also hold a networking reception with Austrian refreshments for exhibitors and visitors.
