TRACKING THE LUAS

Austrian Voestalpine Group has supplied over 2000t of grooved rails for both the Green and Red Line extensions of the Luas network. They are also supplying all switches and crossings into the network and have furthermore secured a €2m contract to provide the Green Line extension with its specially developed rail coating and fastening system, “System Rheinfeder”. Austrian specialists spent several weeks in Ireland coating the rails prior to installation.
