It is no surprise that some of the brightest minds live and work here – as they did in the past and do now. In second place of the current study by the international consulting firm Mercer , which compares the quality of life in 221 cities, is Zurich - as in 2009 and 2010. Auckland, Munich, Duesseldorf ex aequo with Vancouver, Frankfurt, Geneva, and Bern on par with Copenhagen are ranked 3 - 10.
Mercer compares various criteria in detail for its city comparison, including political, social, economic and ecological aspects such as security, health, education and transportation services.
Vienna - A liveable city
Nowhere is life better: According to the Mercer Study 2011, the Austrian capital Vienna is number 1 among the most liveable cities in the world - and this for the 3rd consecutive time!
