Electricity for Bhutan Austrian Know-How and Equipment for Power Plant Dagachhu

Know-How from BERNARD Engineers and Turbines from Andritz Hydro  for Dagachhu Power Plant in Bhutan  

Towards the end of 2009, construction works for a new hydropower plant were started at Dagachhu (capacity: 114 MW, annual output: 515 GWh).

The civil works will be carried out by the Indian construction group Hindustan Construction CompanyHindustan Construction Company and the electro-mechanical components will be supplied by the Austrian Hydro Consortium Dagachhu, a consortium consisting of Alstom Hydro Austria GmbH and Andritz Hydro GmbH . Having previously carried out the feasibility study and prepared the tender documents BERNARD Engineers is now responsible for technical support to the client Dagacchu Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (DHPC).

BERNARD Engineers has already executed several projects in the Kingdom of Bhutan and earned itself a reputation for excellence.
