Promoting co-operation between India and Europe in the field of standardisation

Europe reinforces its international visibility in standardisation. India now also has a European standardisation representative  

Together with the European Commission and EFTA , the European Committee for Standardization CEN and its partners CENELEC (specialised in electrotechnical standardisation) and ETSI (active in the field of telecommunications) appointed Mr. Kiritkumar Lathia the Seconded European Standardization Expert in India (SESEI).

In his capacity as the SESEI, his task is to promote co-operation in the field of standardisation between India and Europe, improve the understanding of the European model of market-driven standardisation as well as deepen the knowledge and understanding of standardisation in India among Europeans. Mr. Kiritkumar Lathia was a member of the ETSI Board and Finance committee from 1997 to 2008.
