2nd Austro-Indian Joint Working Group - Railways

The second Austro-Indian Joint Working Group in the area of railway transport was successfully concluded in New Delhi on September 9th, 2014.

 The working group consisted of a delegation from the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology as well as the directors of Austrian companies active in the field of tunnelling technology, track maintenance / monitoring and mechanized track laying, signaling and communication, traction and rolling stock as well as training and upgrading of skills / psychological qualifications for locomotive drivers. Accompanied by the Austrian Embassador, H.E. Bernhard Wrabetz as well as the Austrian Trade Commissioner, Dr. Wolfram Moritz and a team from the Austrian Trade Commission, the group was met by several relevant high level directors from the Indian Railway Ministry. 
A round of fruitful discussions, focused mainly on the goal of technology specific cooperations, was concluded with a series of pilot projects and commitments for further interaction in the near future.
