successful first ever Austrian business delegation to Nepal/kathmandu

3. November 2017

Our first ever business delegation to Nepal/Kathmandu led by the Vice President of the Austrian Federal economic Chamber, Dr. Richard Schenz turned out to be a great success.

15 Austrian companies attended our business delegation to Kathmandu / Nepal. Almost all of the attending companies were new to the market and had the chance to meet potential business partners at our Economic forum including B2B meetings as well as at our Networking dinner.

Meetings also took place at the Asian Development Bank, IFC/World Bank and Dolma Fund in Kathmandu.

The delegation also had the chance to meet Austrians who live in Nepal for quite some time and doing their business, like running restaurants, a bakery and also a small coffee shop with art articles made from wood and coffee remains.

We also followed an invitation of the International School of Tourism and Hotel Management, which is affiliated to Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (FHS), Austria. IST aims at developing practical, managerial and excellent communication skills by providing each individual student with the know how of a successful career in hospitality industry.

Please also check the link attached regarding the FNCCI and Austrian Chamber signing the memorandum of understanding.
