Hydropower

Expansion of hydropower in Austria: approx. 60 - 70%

Wind energy

656 wind power plants with an output of 1,084 MW are currently feeding power into the public grid which equals the power output of one nuclear reactor. These wind engines generate around 2.2bn kilowatt hours electrical power – enough to supply 620,000 households with electricity.
