Access management at Olympic level

SKIDATA has succeeded in continuously building its presence in Japan after over 10 years on the Japanese market and has operated its own subsidiary since 2008.

The greatest success in Japan so far has been the 2012 introduction of SKIDATA access systems to Shiga Kogen, the largest contiguous ski area in Japan with its own Olympic background (1998 Winter Olympics venue). Additional installations await SKIDATA with the retrofitting of Japanese stadiums in preparation for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Many of the Japanese stadiums need to be upgraded in order to meet the strict requirements of the Olympic Committee for international competitions.

The perfectly coordinated hardware and software as well as the innovative power of SKIDATA will transform each admission in Japan into an event.

In over 70 countries, close to 10,000 installed SKIDATA systems guarantee people and vehicles fast and secure access to ski resorts, shopping malls, major airports, cities, stadiums, trade shows and amusement parks. In doing so, SKIDATA provides its customers with reliable and hassle-free access as well as access technology and related software. The market leader also offers additional services, for example, loyalty programmes for stadiums, marketing tools such as altitude metre diagrams for mountaineering as well as online information about free parking spaces for managing car parking areas.
