Success for Austria at Grammy Awards 2010

Each was honoured with a Grammy - acoustics company AKG for its innovative products, Joe Zawinul for his latest album and Stefan Sagmeister for a cover for a David Byrne/Brian Eno production.

At this year’s Grammy Awards 2010 AKG received a special Grammy in recognition of its outstanding technical contribution to recording arts and sciences, the "Technical Grammy Award 2010".

Austria could also celebrate with two further Grammys. Austria’s greatest “Jazz-Export”, Viennese Joe Zawinul, who died in 2007, received a posthumous Grammy in the “Best Contemporary Jazz Album” category for his album “75”. Vorarlberg designer Stefan Sagmeister also received a Grammy for the box “Everything That Happens Will Happen Today” by David Byrne & Brian Eno in the “Best Recording Package” category.
